Kumar Valliappan is a Vice President at Metalmark Capital. Prior to joining the firm, he was with US Can, Berkshire Partners and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Valliappan is a director of Tegrant Corporation and Cardinal Adhesives.

Mr. Valliappan received a B.S. in Economics, magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. with honors from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
